In the previous decad, AzhwAr enjoyed emperumAn, by singing lullabies like SrI kausalyA dhEvi. dhaSaratha chakravarthi had enjoyed SrI rAma when he was an infant and a child. When he reached the stage of youth, fit to be crowned as king, he could not enjoy that and lost out. Since AzhwAr too had the relationship with emperumAn to enjoy, through the pAsurams of dhaSaratha who lamented that he lost, without enjoying, AzhwAr describes as to what he had lost, in this decad.
