Simple translation

thiruvazhundhUr is the abode which has very beautiful streets where the unique peak atop the tall mansion is piercing the cloud which makes the cloud pouring down rain droplets and the joyful actions of the dancing women causing great sound in a continuous manner. bhagavAn first gently smiled with his reddish divine lips which are like a lotus flower shining due to its petals, then came close to me, and entered my heart and is mercifully present like an immovable object. Such bhagavAn’s eternal abode of thiruvazhundhUr is eternally desirable as in the case of paramapadham.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

Edilangu … – Mercifully smiling like a shining lotus flower with shining petal. Smiling to show that the rare feat of acquiring me is for his benefit. By that, he caused me the state where I cannot avoid whatever he does, and then, he came close to me and stood, and as I was able to accept that, he entered my heart, and is standing to make us think “Now, there is no other place for him to go”. Such bhagavAn is standing in the place to be seen by us with our external eyes.

nIdu mAdam … – The peak atop the tall mansions, tear the bottom portion of the clouds and cause rain. With this, the tallness of the mansions is highlighted.

Adal aravaththArppOvA – The tumultuous sound from the joyful reaction while the women are dancing, is continuously heard without a break.

aNiyAr vIdhi … – The streets which are beautiful due to the continuous dancing sounds.
