AzhwAr said, as in periya thirumozhi 6.3.9 “unakkAgith thoNdu patta nallEnai vinaigaL naliyAmai nambu nambI” (Oh perfect lord! Ensure that I who am fully existing for you and serving you, am not bothered by my sins); as bhagavAn sets out to do that, AzhwAr became very sorrowful to not be patient to that extent; a servitor can only wait for the master to act according to his wish rather than forcing the master by holding on to his feet; as AzhwAr is going through overflowing sorrow to not remain patient in that manner, AzhwAr thought “What can be done now?” and concluded “Until he makes us shed the body, go through the archirAdhi mArgam (path of light leading to SrIvaikuNtam) and takes us to SrIvaikuNtam and gives enjoyment there, let us take shelter of the thaNNIrp pandhal (water-shelter)”; that is, as said in SaraNAgathi gadhyam “athraiva SrIrangE sukhamAsva” (You remain happily in SrIrangam only), enjoying in the dhivyadhESams which are equivalent to SrIrangam; AzhwAr set out to enjoy thirunaRaiyUr, where sarvESvaran and pirAtti are present, just as mother and father will come to remove the sorrow of a child; while enjoying matters other than bhagavAn, the tool for that enjoyment is body; since it is always changing, since it won’t remain the same every day, it will look different every moment; while enjoying with the body, the main target of enjoyment is women [for women, it is men]; such women will show affection seeing something [wealth etc] in the man for some time and once that wealth etc are gone, they will disregard him, scold him and insult him through harsh words; AzhwAr says to his own divine heart – give up such women, when sarvESvaran is present in thirunaRaiyUr in an easily approachable manner who can be approached at all situations, you who are trying to attain mOksham and I can go to thirunaRaiyUr which is equivalent to SrIvaikuNtam, and surrender unto him, and remain there until we start our journey towards SrIvaikuNtam.
