Simple translation
Women having waist matching lightning and having now changed from the loving state, would say “For what purpose did you, who are old and coughing, come to my place?”. AzhwAr says – Oh heart! Before such women insult in this way, let us reach thiruaRaiyUr which is having abundance of good water and which is the abode of sarvESvaran who made lankA, which is surrounded by ancient ocean, suffer in the hands of hanUman and burnt it through him. Let us go.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
minnEr … – Women who are having waist which is matching lightning, giving up their loving attitude towards him, will ask “Is this cough the gift you brought us? Why did you come here?” Before they speak in this indifferent manner.
thonnIr … – One who set fire to lankA which is having ocean as the moat, to make seven people wear one garment. Alternative explanation – set fire in a shining manner. When it is recited as vilangu – he set fire through hanUman; when it is recited as ilangu – fire was pale since it was allowed to burn only as much as it is required to boil rice and now having taken shelter of SrI rAma, it burnt to its best ability and became shining because of that.
nal nIr … – Let us reach thirunaRaiyUr which is having abundance of water to eliminate the heat of everyone. Let us reach thirunaRaiyUr where the most powerful sarvESvaran has arrived and is residing to eliminate our hurdles with their traces, just as chakravarthith thirumagan, who killed rAvaNa and remained as the refuge for vibhIshaNAzhwAn.
