Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
sollAy … – Your highness should give an answer for that. You are the lakshmIpathi (lord of SrI mahAlakshmi) and hence you cannot escape from answering. Did I surrender to a brahmachAri emperumAn, for you to remain undisturbed thinking “He is reaping the results of his sins”?
unakkAgi … – I, who am having distinguished nature to eternally serve the divine feet of your highness, who is Sriya:pathi. You should acknowledge me so that the sins which are staying far away from me do not torment me.
nambI – Your highness’ completeness makes lakshmi sambandham (relationship with SrI mahAlakshmi) superfluous. You are so complete with auspicious qualities that you will argue with her as in periyAzhwAr thirumozhi 4.9.2 “thannadiyAr thiRaththagaththuth thAmaraiyAL Agilum sidhakuraikku mEl ennadiyAr adhu seyyAr” (Even if SrI mahAlakshmi complains about his devotees, he will argue with her saying ‘my devotees will not do anything wrong’ “).
mal Ar kudam Adi – With great strength, dancing with the pots in the four-way junction, oh one who freely gave your beauty to everyone! If he [emperumAn] independently roams around, it is difficult to control him.
Alternative explanation,
If recited as mallA kudamAdi – Oh strong one! Oh one who danced with pots to show your strength!
madhusUdhanE – Oh one who eliminated the demoniac clan along with their roots!
ulagil sellA nallisaiyAy – Oh one who is having fame which is not seen in this world!
thiruviNNagarAnE – It appears that in his supreme state (in paramapadham), his qualities are conceivable. Since he leaves the materialistic people and is manifesting himself to nithyasUris, his qualities will be conceivable there; only after arriving in thiruviNNagar to manifest himself to materialistic people that his qualities became inconceivable.
