vaRRA – perennial
nIr – having water
kadal – by the ocean
sUzh – surrounded
ilangai – king of lankA
irAvaNanai – rAvaNa, the asura (monster)
seRRAy – Oh one who killed!
koRRavanE – Oh king!
thiruviNNagarAnE – Oh one who is residing in the dhivyadhESam named thiruviNNagar!

eNNEn – I won’t consider as refuge.
emperumAn – Oh lord!

Simple translation
Oh one who killed rAvaNa, the asura who was the king of lankA which is surrounded by the ocean which is having perennial water! Oh king! Oh one who is residing in the dhivyadhESam named thiruviNNagar! I won’t consider any other dhEvathA as my refuge. Oh lord! I placed you, who are superior to all, in my heart and I attained the state of no more birth in this samsAram.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
maRROr … – Even while desiring, I will not consider the presence of another dhEvathA as refuge.
unnai en manaththu vaiththu … – I, who am having non-rejection as the only reason, placed you who are superior to all, in my heart, attained an impossible feat.
When asked “What was that benefit you attained?” AzhwAr responds
peRRadhuvum piRavAmai emperumAn – I got rid of births which will qualify me to take refuge of other dhEvathAs. Now, I no longer have the qualification to even approach other dhEvathAs.
vaRRA … – Breaking the barriers which are unbreakable by anyone, oh one who uprooted rAvaNa who pridefully thought “Am I not the controller of this town?”! Aren’t you the one who effortlessly completes impossible tasks!
koRRavanE – Is uniting me with you, after eliminating my hurdles, as difficult as killing the very powerful rAvaNa?
When asked “I destroyed lankA by first staying on the seashore. Where did I stay to eliminate your hurdles?” AzhwAr responds
thiruviNNagarAnE – The place where you have arrived and are standing for me is thiruviNNagar.
