emperumAn swallowed at once, the oceans which are having abundance water which spreads in all eight directions and the seven worlds, and placed them in his divine stomach; he remained as the amazing one who mercifully reclined on a tender banyan leaf to be not woken up by anyone; I am not knowing his amazing aspects; he is comparable to a cloud and a beautiful huge mountain; his divine eyes and divine lips appear like a very fragrant lotus flower; he remained worshippable for all of the nithyasUris; how amazing is this unique person’s beauty?

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

eN thisaiyum … – Placing at once the oceans which are having abundance water which spreads in all eight directions and all of the worlds, in his divine stomach, emperumAn is mercifully reclining on the fresh and tender banyan leaf, in a state of deep-sleep due to his childish state, where no one can wake him up; emperumAn appears to be such an amazing personality. As soon as I look at him, I can understand his agatitha gatanA sAmarthyam (the ability to unite, contrasting entities/aspects). Still, I am unable to comprehend his amazing aspects.

koNdal … – He appears in such a way that once anyone sees him, they will say he appears like a cloud or a mountain as said in thiruvAimozhi 4.4.4ninRa kunRaththinai nOkki nedumAlE! vA” (seeing the mountain in front and says “one who is having great friendship (like your form)!’; will call out saying “come on”).

kongalar … – His divine eyes and divine lips appear to be like lotus flower which emits fragrance.

aNdaththamarar paNiya ninRAr – If one sees his supremacy, he remains approachable and worshippable by nithyasUris also.

achchO oruvar azhagiyavA – If we see his physical beauty, we cannot withdraw ourselves saying “He can be attained only by great people and not by us”.
