Simple translation

As the cool wind of youthful northern breeze along with the cool moon, which touched the external petals of jasmine flowers which are spreading out the pollens, roamed around here and there, stomped and destroyed me, I remained sleepless even for one night; let the ignorant ones who are wearing bangles and desire for sleep, due to their ignorance, remain here and throw accusations. Please carry me and make me reach the dhivyadhESam named thirukkuRungudi where emperumAn, who is having on his divine chest, periya pirAttiyAr who is residing on fragrant flower and having beautiful hair, resides.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

thAdhavizh … – When the jasmine’s pollens are spreading out, the jasmine closed. It will be hot. Hence the vAdai (northern wind) goes along with the moon, roams favourably. Such wind,

Udhai – Cool wind is known as Udhai. Udhai and kUdhai are used to indicate cool, winter wind.

When asked “How is the vAdai tormenting?”

innE – She can only say “in this way”. If she speaks about the way it torments, her mouth will burn.

thiridhandhu uzhaRiyuNNa – Just as a mad elephant which has seen a person as a target, the wind, from the beginning, roamed here and there and tormented.

Or iravum uRangEn – Instead of sleeping sometime and being awake at other times and suffering, I am always suffering without sleep.

uRangum pEdhaiyar – The ignorant ones, who do not understand the suffering when separated from the beloved ones, instead of shying away from wind, will go out seeking the wind and place their mattress there; due to their ignorance, even if they accuse me considering “she is being tormented by vAdai; not sleeping; being unable to remain calm and patient till he comes” as a fault, let them do it.

pey vaLaiyAr – What do we have to do with those who have the bangles stuck to their hands? [We are of the type of losing the bangles in his separation from us]

kOdhai … – Please carry us and place us in the abode where periya pirAttiiyAr who can make him tolerate our faults as said in SrI rAmAyaNam yudhdha kANdam “kAryam karuNam AryENa na kaSchin nAparAdhyathi” (Your highness should show mercy; who does not commit mistakes?), instead of highlighting our great love as a fault, resides.
