Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
padavarasu … – When krishNa reached the banks of the pond where kALiyan lived and joyfully roared, kALiyan angrily hissed thinking “Who is disturbing my enjoyment here?” and came out showing his expanded hoods, krishNa skillfully jumped on the head and danced in many ways such that new definitions had to be written in bharatha (dance) SAsthram.
madavaral mangai thannai … – emperumAn would be eternally together with pirAtti for the complete protection of devotees and the complete destruction of enemies; alternatively – one who is very tender to unite with pirAtti, jumped on the head of kALiyan, the enemy. Oh you who are eternally having periya pirAttiyAr, who has noble qualities and eternal youth, on your divine chest!
thada varai … – When the mansions in that town are seen, they will remind us about the huge anchoring mountains. Alternatively – thirunAngUr where mountain like mansions are present, and which will be worthy of all glories attributed to them.
kadavuLE – kadavuL – paradheyvam (supreme lord). Oh sarvESvaran who is greater than all! When you are present here, should I go and search for someone else!
