Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
senRu … – The abode of Sriya:pathi who went to the place where the seven bulls where present and killed those seven bulls which were angry, embraced nappinnaip pirAtti’s beautiful shoulder and rejoiced.
anRu … – The lord who is similar to a beautiful mountain, who is residing in arimEya viNNagaram in thirunAngUr where those who reside are similar to brahmA in tranquility and subrahmaNya in beauty, is being praised in these poems.
kanRi nedu vEl … – AzhwAr who is having the spear which has stains from piercing the bodies of enemies, due to not having time to cleanse them, and who is the leader of the residents of thirumangai, mercifully composed these garlands of words with music. Those who are able to learn these ten pAsurams (eight + two), will remain leaders of vaishNavas as said in thiruvAimozhi 3.7.1 “payilum thiru udaiyAr evarElum – emmai ALum paramarE” (those who have the wealth of being together with him to be eternally engaged in him, even if they lack (high birth, knowledge, actions), even in that same state, they are the supreme masters having us as servitors in many births) and subsequently will become the residents of paramapadham. They will get to be in the group of thiruvadi (garudAzhwAr), thiruvanandhAzhwAn (Adhi SEshan),
In the next article we will enjoy the next pAsuram.
