Simple translation
While the very exultant elephant, which is consuming mounds of food, was held by the crocodile which was in the pond, the elephant became bewildered and thought about emperumAn in its mind and became weak; to liberate that elephant, emperumAn appeared over the pond and launched his radiant, divine chakra and broke the firm-minded crocodile into pieces; such emperumAn is mercifully present in the dhivyadhESam, thirukkaNNangudi, which is surrounded by forts filled with gemstones, and is having radiant mansions and fertile fields which are beautiful due to the presence of kuvaLai flowers, lengthy lotus flowers, Ambal flowers, sengazhunIr flowers and ready-to-pluck neydhal flowers.

kavaLam … – Having consumed lots of food, being very exultant, the elephant pridefully entered the pond which is not its natural habitat; it got caught by the mouth of the crocodile which has the pond as its natural habitat and hence can act as it pleased; being unable to remedy the situation, the elephant became bewildered and thought in its mind as said in vishNu dharmam “manasA chinthayaththarim” (Meditated upon hari in its mind); at that time emperumAn appeared, filling the sky; the firm-minded crocodile became torn apart as said in SrI rAmAyaNam yudhdha kANdam “chinnam binnam” (Cut and broke); emperumAn launched the thiruvAzhi (chakra) which is spitting fire.
kuvaLai … – Having beautiful fertile fields which are kuvaLai, lotus, Ambal, sengazhunIr and neydhal which is having easily pluckable flowers; having radiant mansions and radiant forts. emperumAn is mercifully present in such thirukkaNNangudi.
