indhra, the lord of celestial entities, was angry since he had been denied his food. Due to that anger, he asked clouds to pour heavily such that calves, who were grazed desirously by krishNa, cows, herd-men and herd-women, who are entities close to emperumAn’s heart, suffered. Just as it has been mentioned in periyAzhwAr thirumozhi 3.4.4kunReduththu Anirai kAththa pirAn” (the benefactor lifted the gOvardhana hill and protected cattle), periyAzhwAr thought, in his divine mind, of this great benefit by which emperumAn protected the entities to be protected, without any harm coming their way. He saw, as if it happened during his time, the reasons for lifting the mountain, the abundant wealth in the mountain, the expansive nature of the mountain, the weight of the mountain, the manner in which emperumAn effortlessly lifted the mountain, the manner in which he held it aloft for seven days, in a focussed way and the lack of any discomfort for his divine hand which held it. He enjoys the flavour of these divine activities, which highlight emperumAn’s distinguished quality of being the helping entity during times of distress, and becomes joyous, in this thirumozhi.

thiruvAimozhip piLLai, in his svApadhESam, says that AzhwAr thought of the activity which was beyond human species, of “kunReduththu Anirai kAththa pirAn kOvalanAyk kuzhal Udhi Udhi” (emperumAn, the benefactor, who lifted the gOvardhana mountain and protected the cattle, played on his flute repeatedly, as a herd-boy). Since it was firmly rooted in his divine mind, he thought of the distinguishing features in the mountain, the length and breadth of the mountain, its weight, the difficulty in lifting it, the effortless manner in which emperumAn lifted it, the reasons for having to lift it, the manner in which he removed the dangers posed by those reasons, and establishes that emperumAn alone is the one who is capable of releasing us from such dangers.
