thiruvAimozhip piLLai says, in his svApadhESam, that AzhwAr tells krishNa that cowherd boys, who are of his age, are roaming around, after increasing the size of the holes in their ears.
vaNa nanRudaiya vayirak kadippu ittu vAr kAdhu thAzhap perukki
guNa nanRu udaiyar ikkOpAla piLLaigaL gOvindhA! nI solluk koLLAy
iNai nanRu azhagiya ikkadippu ittAl iniya palAp pazham thandhu
suNa nanRu aNi mulai uNNathth tharuvan nAn sOththam pirAn! ingE vArAy

Simple Translation
These herd-boys are wearing diamond ear rings, which have a good complexion, such that their long ears come down to their shoulders. They listen to their mothers and have good qualities. Oh, one who is easy to approach! You desire to join with these herd-boys, but you aren’t listening to my words. If you don these two ear-rings which match each other in their beauty, I will give you sweet jack fruit which you like, as well as my beautiful bosoms which have light-coloured spots, to consume milk from. Oh, one who is the benefactor! I am worshipping you. Come here.
vyAkhyAnam (Commentary)
vaNam … – Despite praying to him like this, since krishNa did not come, yaSOdhAp pirAtti wonders “Will he come if I tell him these?” She tells him that these cow-herd boys are wearing diamond ear-rings, which have a good complexion, such that their long ears come down to their shoulders. They listen to their mothers et al and remain with good qualities. Should you too not be like them?
gOvindhA! nI solluk koLLAy – you, having the name gOvindha in order to reflect your easy approachability, are not listening to my words. krishNa asks her “If I wear these ear rings listening to your words, what will you give me?”
iNai nanRu azhagiya ikkadippu ittAl – If you wear these ear-rings, which match each other in their beauty and appear beautiful …
iniya palAp pazham thandhu – I will give you jack fruit, which you like
suNa nanRu aNi mulai uNNath tharuvan nAn – I will give you my beautiful bosoms, which have light spots on them, for you to consume milk from. suNangu – the light-coloured spots which appear over the bosoms. nanRu – remaining soft; aNi – distinction, due to the location.
sOththam pirAn ingE vArAy – Since he did not come, despite telling him all these, yaSOdhAp pirAtti now tells him “Oh, pirAn! I am offering you anjali [cupping the palms together] with my hands. You should come now”. The term sOththam refers to the word mentioned by those who, to express their lowly state, make an anjali with their hands and bow down.
thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that krishNa remains as a simple person and as a great benefactor to those who perform the act of worshipping.
