AzhwAr says – As I surrendered unto him matching my svarUpam (true nature, servitude) instead of seeking kingdom, he accepted my service which matches my svarUpam. Hence, he is the refuge for those who are in danger. There is no one else. Thus, all of you go to thirunaRaiyUr and try to enjoy him.
Alternative explanation. AzhwAr says – Though my advise was not liked by worldly people, he created taste in me matching my svarUpam, eliminated my hurdles. For those who are in danger, none, other than bhagavAn, is the refuge. Hence his eternal abode of thirunaRaiyUr, is our refuge.
