Simple Translation
dhEvakip pirAtti, consort of SrI vasudhEvar who has elephants in rut, never leaves his heart. kaNNan, who does not let go of others, incarnated from the stomach of such dhEvakip pirAtti, on the tenth day of the star hastham. yaSOdhAp pirAtti is calling the attention of women, who have gentle smile, to come and have a look at his divine loin region.
vyAkhyAnam (Commentary)
maththa … – from the stomach of dhEvakip pirAtti, who always acts as per the heart of SrI vasudhEvar who has elephants which are in rut.
aththaththin … – on the tenth day from the day of star hastham. Since AzhwAr is a mangaLASAsanaparar (one who constantly carries out mangaLASAsanam for emperumAn), to prevent enemies from knowing the precise day of birth and carrying out wrongful deeds, he hides the divine day when emperumAn incarnated and mentions this way.
thOnRiya … – just as it has been mentioned in SrI vishNu purANam 5.3.2 “achyutha bhAnunA dhEvakIpUrva sandhyAyAm AvirbhUtham” (krishNa, who is the sUryan [sun], appeared in the east direction, dhEvaki), he incarnated without the fault of having resided inside a womb. Look at the divine loin region of such krishNa, who does not ever let go of his followers.
thiruvAimozhip piLLai says, in his svApadhESam, that unlike chEthanas (souls having ability to think) who reside inside a womb due to compulsion of karma (past deeds), krishNa incarnated due to his mercy.
mugizh nagaiyIr! vandhu kANIrE – Oh, you all, who have a budding gentle smile! Come and have a look.
We shall next consider the 7th pAsuram of this thirumozhi.
