Simple translation
bhagavAn incarnated as narasimha with reddish eyes and sword-like teeth, appearing to be like a huge, unique, silver mountain reaching up to the sky, which is staring cruelly, to make the warm blood from hiraNya’s chest which is shining with ornaments, overflow to reach the mEru mountain which is made of gold, and to pierce and flow from there. How will the demoniac persons sustain their lives if they thought about hiraNya’s killing? Such bhagavAn is mercifully resting in the dhivyadhESam, SrIrangam.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
enganE … – Only those who are favourble towards bhagavAn like us and who think like prahlAdha “He did this for us” will be uplifted. Other than that how will those demoniac persons who belong to the enemy clan, sustain themselves if they think about this incident? On the chest which is decorated with ornaments.
pongu vem kurudhi … – The blood which was tumultuously gushing out, not having any other outlet, piercing the mEru mountain and flooding it and falling as a waterfalls. Isn’t he also hiraNya (golden)? Blood flowing out of hiraNya’s body due to tearing hiraNya’s body looks similar to the flow of fluid mixed with many minerals, piercing the mEru and falling down. bhagavAn assumed the narasimha form where he was having reddish eyes and shining teeth, and looking similar to a huge, silver mountain piercing through the sky and having reddish eyes. Such bhagavAn is mercifully present in SrIrangam to eliminate similar enemies if they are present.
