AzhwAr’s desire is not such that when it is not fulfilled once in one place, he will give up thinking “Alright, it is not fulfilled”; if we see the nature of bhagavAn, one cannot remain desireless towards him. Now, emperumAn is mercifully present in ugandharuLina nilangaL (dhivyadhESams where emperumAn has mercifully arrived with desire) – to interact with those who are desirous towards him, as they please. When kings build many gardens, they would have determined “We will present ourselves to such and such person in such and such garden”; similarly emperumAn is present in many dhivyadhESams to present himself to different devotees at different abodes; hence, AzhwAr would go around different dhivyadhESams thinking “if he does not present himself here, he will present himself to me in another dhivydhESam”; AzhwAr does not know where emperumAn will present himself; hence, AzhwAr is speaking about emperumAn’s nature in thiruppuLLambUdhangudi as “He is present in thiruppuLLambUdhangudi; his nature is to seek alms for the sake of his devotees and fulfil their desires; he interacts with his devotees and SrI mahAlakshmi without any difference; he himself works to create the good deeds in AthmAs which facilitate knowledge about him; further, he is ultimately enjoyable”.
