Simple translation

sarvESvaran, who is infatuated towards his devotees, shot arrows to kill rAvaNa the king of lankA which was in the southern direction where rAkshasas who were not fitting with him were present; he tore the mouth of kESi who came as a horse; he tormented the wrestlers and turned them into dust; he made the marudha trees fall down. The dhivyadhESam of such sarvESvaran is puLLambUdhangudi which has densely present groves where the fruits from coconut tree fall, seeing which the fish jumped out to another place; seeing which the cranes scattered and ran; it is complete due to the beauty of the fertile fields which are filled with flowers such as lotus etc.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

mEvA … – emperumAn shot arrows to kill rAvaNa who was the king of lankA where rAkshasas who were naturally hateful instead of being hateful due to a particular reason; tore the mouth of kESi; killed the group of wrestlers; broke the marudha trees which were standing together.

mAladhu idam – The abode of emperumAn who shows equal love towards pirAtti and his devotees.

kA Ar … – As the fruits from coconut trees in the dense groves fall, fish jumped thinking that they are falling on them.

kurugu iriyum … – The cranes think that the fish are jumping aiming at them and scattered and ran away. The bewilderment is matching for both the fish and the cranes. Fish became frightened while the fruits were not aimed at them; cranes, while are harmful to the fish which are their food, were running away fearing the fish.
