Simple translation
The neck bell of the bull which has strong hump, the sweet sound of the flute of krishNa, the cowherd boy, the evening which is coming with a principle along with the southerly breeze, the evening time which brought about the beautiful young moon, gathering together, made me who has committed a great sin to wither. These are not the same as the entities which were there from the past [in harming us]; please carry me and make me reach the dhivyadhESam named thirukkuRungudi where emperumAn who is having the complexion like that of a cloud and a blue gemstone, is eternally residing.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
thiN thimil … – Unlike the entities shown previously, these appear to be capable of individually finishing me. Even after what is said in the first pAsuram “thaN malarth thenRalOdanRil onRi” (The cool flower, southerly breeze and the anRil bird, all together), we survived. There strong imil – kakuth – hump. The bell on the neck of such bull; since there is none who would free the cow from the leash, the bell itself remains strong.
Ayan thInguzhal Osaiyum – She will not listen to a brAhmaNa’s flute sound [that is the recital of vEdhams]. She will only listen to a cowherd boy’s sweet flute sound. However sweet it is, now, it is as much harmful.
thenRal … – The dusk time which comes with a big principle (to harm) along with the southerly breeze.
andhi … – Chandhran being an enemy for our path [towards bhagavAn]. The enemy born from another enemy. As the dusk is harmful, it appears that the dusk gave birth to the young crescent moon to destroy me. Just as rAvaNa gave birth to indhrajith.
paNdaiya alla ivai namakku – Previously the harmful disposition was not present. During the union, it will be favourable. It is said that at present they are not at the same level of harmful objects from the past.
pAviyEn – Whether it is union or separation, bhagavAn is not different with respect to sustaining us. I have committed the sin of uniting with bhagavAn whose separation cannot be tolerated.
Aviyai vAttam seyyum – It is trying to destroy my prANan (vital air) which is so sensitive that those who touch it will be blamed [for its withering].
koNdal … – Please carry me and place me in the dhivyadhESam where he is eternally residing to make these harm me. Please carry me and place me in the dhivyadhESam where the one who has cloud like and blue gemstone like complexion, is eternally residing.
