Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

kOzhi … – emperumAn remains to be known as cowherd who is having uRaiyUr and (south) madhurai as his abodes. kOzhi indicates uRaiyUr. kUdal indicates madhurai (south). It can also be said as “emperumAn remains to be known as king who has uRaiyUr and madhurai as his abodes”. In the first approach, it speaks about those who remain happily in those abodes.

kunRam … – He is having four divine shoulders which are as strong as a mountain.

paNdivar thammaiyum kaNdaRiyOm – He remained in a way that we had not seen him previously [appearing ever-fresh].

vAzhiyarO … – Let us perform mangaLASAsanam to him saying “pallANdu! pallANdu!”; if we were to speak about his divine form, it appears like an ocean. He is holding thiruvAzhi (divine chakra) which torments the enemies, on his one hand.

Or sangu paRRi – He is having pAnchajanyam which is uncontrollable even for him, on his other hand.

achchO oruvar azhagiyavA – We can speak about it only this much remaining in the shore; we cannot go deeper and speak about it in detail.
