emperumAn became joyful on building a bridge with rocks on the ocean which is abundantly wealthy, to be worshipped by that ocean; he touched and shot the distinguished arrow to have lankA which is built on the mountain named thrikUtam and is fortified, become agitated; I, the servitor, enjoyed such emperumAn along with periya pirAttiyAr who is residing on the best lotus flower having petals, with my eyes in the dhivyadhESam named sembonsey kOyil which is present in the good central location in thirunAngUr which belongs to brAhmaNas who are learned in four vEdhams which are wealthy, and got to eliminate my sorrow.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

mallai … – The ocean which is abundantly wealthy and vast – to have it worship (emperumAn). There will be abundance of precious gems etc in ocean. Building a bridge with rocks which will drown, on the ocean to have it worship him, and became joyful in enjoying such sport. lankA was on top of the thrikUta peak; further, it was fortified; emperumAn who shot an arrow which he could place his hands on, to have many residents of lankA scrambling for a single piece of cloth in such lankA.

The dhivyadhESam which belongs to the brAhmaNas who were abundantly wealth.
