Simple translation

emperumAn placed the unique mandhara mountain in the middle of the ocean to have the different types of fish falter and to agitate the ocean; he assumed a unique tortoise form and held the mandhara mountain on his back in the vast ocean to have it rotate in all directions to make the nectar which is filled with shining radiance, appear there. I who am a servitor got to see such amazing emperumAn in thirukkaNNapuram which is having agitating ocean.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

malangu vilangu nedu veLLam – Fish usually live in places where there is abundance of water. As the ocean became agitated to have the inhabitants falter, emperumAn placed the mountain in the place where there is no limit to the depth and assumed the form of a unique tortoise which does not shy away from water, churned the vast ocean with rotating mountain to bring out the nectar which has radiance to bring back lost lives. Such amazing lord who remained as the supporter of the mountain.

kalangal … – It appears that the ocean is present in one side of the town.
