Reach the dhivyadhESam named thirunaRaiyUr where the chOzha king, named sembiyan, who is having reddish eyes, is residing and where beautiful beetles are enjoying the fragrance present and emitted from champak flowers and further enjoying the fragrance present on vakuLa flowers and which is having mansions embossed with gems, and eternally live there.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

ambaramum … – One who is having the neck which mercifully consumed the sky, vast earth, eight directions, agitated ocean, mountains which anchor the earth.

kombu amarum … – Oh, those who desire to attain the divine feet of sarvESvaran who is having agatitha gatanA sAmArthyam (reconciling contradictory aspects) and is mercifully resting on the leaf of banyan tree which is having well-grown branches!

vambavizhum … – The beetles, on enjoying the fragrance from the champak flower which is emitting fragrance, and in the process acquire heat from there, subsequently will enjoy the fragrance of vakuLa flower and try to eliminate that heat.

sembiyan … – The king’s name is sembiyan kOchchengaNAn. With this, it is explained that bhagavAn’s agatitha gatanA sAmarthyam and the beetles remaining on the vakuLa flower, are equally desirable, due to the connection with that dhivyadhESam.
