Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
thozhu nIr … – sarvESvaran incarnated with a vAmana form seeing which one cannot avoid worshipping, as said in mahAbhAratham udhyOga parvam “avaSA: prathibhEdhirE” (Stood up, without being in control); he begged and accepted the world surrounded by the ocean, as if it is owned by mahAbali and getting it from him in alms.
mUvA uruvil ammAnai – sarvESvaran, who is always having a singular form. AzhwAr is saying this vAmana form to be his eternal form [due to overwhelming affection towards that form].
uzhu nIr vayaluL pon kiLaippa – Gold will grow in the fertile fields which have the nature of being ploughed. Gold is abundantly present. Where gold is not seen mullai, karumugai and sengazhunIr flowers are seen.
