Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
karu mA mugil … – krishNa who is mercifully residing in thirukkaNNapuram which has mansions which are the resting places for the clouds which have absorbed the water and risen, is praised in this decad. Since AzhwAr was the target of periya pirAttiyAr’s complete glance, he is having “aruL mAri” as his divine name. He is the owner opf thiruvAli which has abundant water. Only if there is a cloud which is eternal and pours down without any restriction always, that can be compared to his divine hand. For AzhwAr who is constantly giving, a cloud which occasionally appears and pours down in a particular place, cannot be a match. Those who are well versed in this decad which has tune and is mercifully composed by AzhwAr who is the king of thirumangai region.
iru mA nilaththukku arasAgi – As said in vishNu dharmam “bhaumam manOratham svargyam svargivandhyancha yathpadham| dhadhAthi dhAyinAm nithyam apavargapradhO hari:” (bhagavAn who is liberation giver, bestows worldly pleasures, pleasures in celestial worlds and paramapadham which is desired by the residents of celestial worlds, for those who meditate upon him), getting all these decorations.
imaiyOr iRainja vAzhvArE – Not stopping with that, they will enter paramapadham and will get the benefit of having the nithyasUris fall at their feet as said in thiruvAimozhi 10.9.10 “padhiyinil pAnginil pAdhangaL kazhuvinar” (cleansed the divine feet of such SrIvaishNavas, in an honourable manner, in their respective abode).
