Simple Translation
Women, who have decorated themselves with ornaments, have sung about kaNNan, the son of nandhagOpan, and SrI rAma, who is the son of emperor dhaSaratha, from the clan of emperor kakuthstha, keeping them as opponents, in the style of undhi paRaththal. periyAzhwAr, who is the controller of beautiful SrI villibuththUr, has mercifully composed their words in the honest thamizh language. For those who are capable of reciting these ten pAsurams, composed of five pAsurams regarding krishNAvathAram and five pAsurams regarding SrI rAmAvathAram, there is no distress.
vyAkhyAnam (Commentary)
nandhan madhalayaik kAkuththanai navinRu – keeping the divine son of SrI nandhagOpar and the divine son of emperor [dhaSaratha], who came in the clan of emperor kakuthstha.
thiruvAimozhip piLLai says, in his svApadhESam, that women of thiruvAyppAdi divided themselves into two groups, and played the game of undhi paRaththal, sang alternately, with the quality of simplicity coming to the fore in the incarnation of krishNa and the qualities of eminence as well as simplicity coming to the fore in the incarnation of SrI rAma.
undhi paRandha oLi izhaiyArgaL sol – the words of women who had decorated themselves with beautiful ornaments, celebrating the flavour of the game of undhi paRaththal.
sendhamizh thenpudhvai vittuchiththan sol – mercifully composed by periyAzhwAr, the controller of SrI villibuththUr, in the honest thamizh language.
thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that periyAzhwAr, the controller of SrI villibuththUr, has carried out eminent servitude through thiruppallANdu [wishing emperumAn well], in the honest language of thamizh.
aindhinOdu aindhum vallArkku – for those who are capable of reciting these ten pAsurams, consisting of five pAsurams regarding krishNAvathAram and five pAsurams regarding SrI rAmAvathAram
thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that though the pAsurams appear to be of two kinds, due to the reason of dharmi aikkyam (both SrI rAma and krishNa are incarnations of the same SrIman nArAyaNa), both appear of one type. For those who are capable of reciting these ten pAsurams, with the pathos of periyAzhwAr, due to the mercy of periyAzhwAr, the distress of living in samsAram, which arises due to sankalpam [vow, of both emperumAn, who creates samsAram for his play, and jIvAthmAs, who indulge in deeds of their volition] will not come. allal – multitude of deceptive play in samsAram, which is composed of both happiness and sorrow, through which emperumAn enjoys.
allal illaiyE – there is no distress arising out of samsAram [materialistic world, this earth].
We shall next consider the pravESam of the next thirumozhi.
