Oh, dragonfly which is present on a pole! Carrying the fragrance of the very fragrant thiruththuzhAy which has beetles present all over, come here and blow on me.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

viNdu … – Your journey is similar to that of those who enter any gate which is open. Even if you wait for the petals to open and the flower to blossom, the honey from the other flowers will overflow and what is present in this flower too is very little and temporary; even such honey is not there to start with. Whatever we get is also very little; is there anyone who tries so much for very little?

aNda mudhalvan – Controller of the oval shaped universe.

amarargaL … – One who is standing in thirukkaNNapuram to be surrendered to by all of those celestial beings who consider themselves to be the refuge, after giving up their pride.

vandhu – Would you not like to be similar to other beetles [which are enjoying bhagavAn’s thiruththuzhAy]?
