Simple Translation

Oh, one who is the king of all the celestial entities! kamsan had instructed a monster to harm you, in a deceptive manner, by pervading a wheel. When you kicked the wheel with your soft, like cotton, divine feet, such that the wheel got destroyed including its joints and spokes, I was scared that your divine feet would have got hurt. My fear was not like the fear felt by the assembly of herd-folk. Oh, one who destroyed that deceptive kamsan through your deceptive activities! You should consume milk from my bosoms.

vyAkhyAnam (Commentary)

kanjan … –  [monster who pervaded] the deceptive wheel was sent by kamsan, who had been rankling [from the time of your birth], in order to hurt you. Since the wheel, which was kept as a protective entity, was pervaded by the monster, it is referred to as kaLLachchagadu (deceptive wheel).

thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that kamsan has been waiting since the incarnation of krishNa, in order to destroy him. If he comes to know “He [krishNa] is growing up in thiruvAyppAdi”, with the thought of killing in his mind, he will not let go of the opportunity. He would consider in his mind “This person is apt for this task”. With such deceptive thoughts in his mind, he had instructed SakatAsuran to harm krishNa. The deception in the case of Sakata was larger than the case with pUthanA [another monster sent by kamsan, earlier] since Sakata pervaded a wheel [which was meant as a protective entity for krishNa].

kalakkazhiya … – just as it has been mentioned in thiruvAimozhi 6-9-4thaLarndhum muRindhum sagada asurar udal vERAgap piLandhu vIya” (the body of the monster Sakatan was broken into two and destroyed such that it broke up into smithereens), the wheel was destroyed beyond recognition.

panji …– I was frightened that the divine feet, which were soft, like cotton, which kicked the wheel, would have got hurt.

amarar kOvE – Oh, one who is the controller of celestial entities! It is their fortune that they are getting rid of their enemies through you. It is implied that no harm came krishNa’s way.

thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that krishNa escaped due to the fortune of celestial entities [only if he escapes every time could he carry out similar tasks for them again and again]. Alternatively, it could refer to the auspicious time when krishNa incarnated such that those who came to him with enmity in their minds would perish. Even if AzhwAr sees such activities which were supposed to remove his fear, he would still get frightened.

Ayar kUttaththu aLavu anrAlO – My fear was not similar to the fear felt by the assembly of herd-folk. Syllables such as Al, O etc are sounds which express the anxiety of the mind.

thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here – AzhwAr is concerned as to how he was going to bring up krishNa [in the pathos of yaSOdhAp pirAtti] with his fear being much higher than that of the five-lakh herd-folk. Seeing his worry, krishNa tells him “Haven’t you seen how we destroyed kamsan?” AzhwAr says “Didn’t kamsan suffer due to the sin of carrying out deceptive deeds against you?”

kanjanai … – Oh, one who destroyed kamsan through your deceptive deeds such that he could not escape with the deceptive deeds which he had indulged in.

thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that AzhwAr saying “kanjanai nI valaipopaduththAy” was only a pretext. On that day, it was due to my good fortune that you escaped. Alternatively, he consoles himself saying “I breathed comfortably after seeing you imprisoning kamsan through deception and killing him”. With that, AzhwAr asks krishNa to come and consume milk from bosoms.

mulai uNAyE – you should now consume the milk from my bosoms.
