Simple Translation
The physical form of a person born in the human species is flawed, being full of filth. For a person, who has been born in such a species, if the name of another person, who is also flawed, being full of filth, is kept, there is no benefit, either for the next births or for the ultimate destination of SrI vaikuNtam. Instead, if the divine name of nArAyaNan, who uplifts everyone, is kept and the child is called by the eminent name of “gOvindhA!” repeatedly, the mother of that child will not enter narakam.

malamudai Uththaiyil thONRiRRu Or mala Uththaiyai – just as it has been mentioned in SrI vishNu purANam 1.17.43 “mAmsAsrugpUya viNmUthra snAyumajjAsthi samhathau – dhEhE” (mAmsa – flesh; pUya – pus; mUthra– urine; snAyu – nerve; majja – fat; asthi – bone. The physical form is composed of all these, which are all filthy), a person, who is born with a physical form, which is flawed on account of these. Any effect is based on the cause. Since an entity is formed by the union of a father’s and mother’s reproductive fluids, the physical form of the resultant child will also be of the same nature [flawed]. Thinking of these in his divine mind, AzhwAr is mercifully saying this.
thiruvAimozhip piLLai, in his svApadhESam, asks: if a child, who has flawed physical form, is born in a human species, which is full of flaws, is named after another person, who also has flawed form, is there any benefit in the future birth?
malamudai Uththaiyin pEr ittAl maRumaikku illai – if the name of a person, who has such flaws in him and who is experiencing the results of his karma [past deeds] is kept for a child, even if a few benefits may accrue in this birth, for maRumai – adhrishtam, which could be the next birth [or ultimately, SrI vaikuNtam], there is no benefit.
kulam udai … – if you name your child after the one, who is the exact opposite of all flaws, who was born in the clan of herds and who had accepted gOvindhAbhishEkam [this refers to the rain pouring for seven days, due to the anger of indhran, the head of celestial entities, when krishNa lifted gOvardhana hill, protecting all the cattle and the herd-people] and call your child as “gOvindha!” …
thiruvAimozhip piLLai says, additionally here, that krishNa had more prominence, being born in the clan of herd-people, than being born in the royal clan [of vasudhEvar]. It is pertinent to recall thiruvAimozhi 4.8.4 “kaRaiyinAr thuvar udukkai” (wearing clothes made of bark, since his clothes were getting stained from fruits eaten).
nalam udai nAraNan – nAraNan, who has the divine quality of uplifting those, who recite his divine name. Alternatively, this would refer to the mother of the child, who has been named as gOvindhA, and who has the wealth of having affection
tham annai naragam pugAL – thus, the mother of the child will not come under the control of yama and will not enter narakam [hell]
