Simple translation

thirumangai AzhwAr is the controller of thirumangai, which is surrounded by fort which is great due to its firmness and is decorated with the feritle fields which are in the surroundings. This decad is composed by such AzhwAr on my lord who is residing in thirukkaNNapuram, which is having more abundant fame than paramapadham. Those devotees, who recite this decad with beautiful tune, will not experience the sins, which they have accrued to experience.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

mali pugazh … – My lord, who is residing in thirukkaNNapuram which is having more abundant fame than paramapadham, is praised here. These pAsurams were mercifully composed by AzhwAr who is the controller of thirumangai, which is decorated by fertile fields which are near the strong fort.

vizhumiya isaiyinodu – with beautiful tune.

oli solum adiyavar – This thirumozhi (decad) is said to be in the tune named “vaN kuRinji“. Those who recite this.

uRu thuyar ilarE – The sins, which are said as in brahma vaivartham prakruthi kANdam 26.70 “avaSyam anubhOkthavyam krutham karma SubhASubham | nAbhuktham kshIyathE karma kOti Sathairapi ||” (The karma which was performed in the form of good and bad deeds, has to be experienced. Even after passing one hundred crore days of brahmA, such karma will not be exhausted without experiencing it), will not come near them.
