Simple translation

bhagavAn is mercifully resting on the shining thiruvananthAzhwAn who is having mouths which spit poison and is angry, in clear thiruppARkadal. [Subsequently] He shot an arrow to kill the mystic dear which came jumping; he begged the earth from mahAbali. Such bhagavAn is the nambi in thirunaRaiyUr where, in the surroundings which are filled with birds, the beautiful sengazhunIr flower is showing the eyes of the women who are decorated with beautiful ornaments and the lotus flower with dense petals is showing their face. Such nambi is our refuge.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

theLLAr … – In the ocean which is having clear waters and were the tides are rising; just like coconut is tied with thorn, matching the simplicity of bhagavAn, thiruvananthAzhwAn is having mouths which are spitting poison on enemies and is angry on them; he is having radiance due to constant enjoyment of bhagavAn; having such thiruvananthAzhwAn as his mattress, resting on him, when evil persons like rAvaNa appear, he gets up from that mattress and incarnates, and launches his arrow to shoot the mystic deer which is coming close, jumping here and there, and kills it.

irandhAn … – While he had the arrow in his hand, he went to mahAbali and begged for earth, as if he has no strength/abiility. Only where sAma (discussions) does not work out, bEdha (tricks) should be used.

puLLAr … – In the surroundings which are filled with birds such as swan etc, the beautiful sengazhunIr shows the eyes of the women decorated with ornaments, the lotus flower, which has dense petals, shows the face which is the abode of those eyes. Such thirunaRaiyUr.
