Simple translation

For pirAtti who is having shining ornaments, bhagavAn built a bridge with rocks on the ocean and severed the twenty shoulders of rAvaNa who is the lord of the huge city of lankA, by bending his bow. Such emperumAn is present in the dhivyadhESam named thenthiruppEr which is having fertile fields where the fish listen to the loudly recited sound of the vEdham which is recited by by brAhmaNas who are having good conduct and who can recite all four vEdhams, jump and move away. How amazing is it that I desired to worship such emperumAn and got uplifted!

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

vilangal – Having built a bridge on the ocean with rocks which will submerge in the water, being defeated by the beauty of pirAtti who is decorated with shining ornaments, with the bow which is distinct for being a warrior, he severed rAvaNa’s shoulders which were like a protective layer of lankA, where rAvaNa was thinking “lankA is the capital of my country, which cannot by destroyed even by brahmAsthram; am I not the controller here?”.

nalam koL … – brAhmaNas who mastered vEdhams which are free from defects and are four in categories; alternative explanation – brAhmaNas who have good conduct and have mastered all four vEdhams.

Oththoli Eththak kEttu – Hearing their loud chanting, the fish in the fertile fields think that these are sounds made towards them and jump away; how amazing is it that I have desired to worship such dhivyadhESam and got uplifted!
