Simple translation

kArthavIryan’s radiant, shining, thousand shoulders looked like thousand mountains gathered together and fit for battle. bhagavAn as paraSurAma, holding the weapon named mazhu (axe) severed those shoulders of kArthavIryan and made him reach heaven. Subsequently, dhEvathAs reached there and praised, reciting sahasranAmam. That bhagavAn is resting in the middle of the ocean as the waves are pounding, on the mattress of thiruvananthAzhwAn and is in yOga nidhrA. Such bhagavAn is mercifully resting in the dhivyadhESam, SrIrangam.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

Ayiram kunRam … – Just as thousand mountains gathered together, fit for battle, with shining radiance, well-rounded, thousand shoulders were severed by paraSurAma holding an axe in his hand. maRRavan – the other person is sahasra bAhu arjunan (kArthavIryArjunan who had thousand shoulders); by such bhagavAn’s vanquishing by hand, kArthavIryArjunan attained vIra svargam (heaven of bravery). All the dhEvathAs who were tormented by him, subsequently recited the thousand divine names of bhagavAn and took shelter of him. In the middle of the ocean where waves are pounding within, due to the joy of the presence of bhagvAn, bhagavAn was having yOga nidhrA on thiruvananthAzhwAn who is having many radiant mouths as an outlet for the continuous enjoyment of bhagavAn. Such bhagavAn has mercifully arrived and is present here in the same manner, in SrIrangam.
