Simple translation

He is not showing mercy even if we performed anjali saying “chOththam” [sthOthram – praises] as lowly persons would say and remain firmly; he took away my ancient femininity etc and has given me a golden cloth [paleness] to cover myself up and left; I don’t even know the dhivyadhESam where he went; further, my bosoms are becoming old without getting to embrace his attractive, divine chest; please carry me and place me in thirukkuRungudi where emperumAn who is having divine acts which steal hearts and who is the lord of nithyasUris, is desirously residing.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

sOththena ninRu thozha irangAn – Those who perform anjali, matching that posture, will use a word to show their lowliness – that is “chOththam”. Even after favourably saying “chOththam” with their mouth, remaining firmly and performing anjali, he is completely lacking the nature to show his mercy.

When asked “How is that known?” parakAla nAyaki says,

thonnalam … – Taking away my femininity etc which are present in me since the time of birth, up until now, just as one would give a golden cloth [shawl] to cover, he gave me this paleness and left. Stealing everything from me, he left giving me paleness as if he is giving his everything to me. We can remain patient for leaving us, had he informed the name of the town where he was going; it is not that he has left without informing. She has lost it since she could not observe him telling the same. When asked “If you don’t know where he is, what are you thinking to do now?” She says “We know how he kept blabbering about me when he was here. Now, you go and place in me in that dhivyadhESam”.

When asked “Why should your analyse like this and desire to go there? Why not remain here sustaining yourself?”. She says,

kongai mUththiduginRana – Are my bosoms letting me remain here?

kongai mUththiduginRana – Even if he comes and we get to embrace him, the lost age cannot be retrieved. As we see, my bosoms are losing their youth. As said in SrI rAmAyaNam yudhdha kANdam 5-5 “na mE dhu:kam priyA dhUrE na mE dhu:kkam hruthEthi vA l EthadhEvAnuSOchAmi vayO’syA hyathivarthathE” (I am not distressed that the one, who is sweet to me is in a far-away place; I am neither distressed that she had been abducted. I am distressed only because she is growing older), instead of getting to embrace his attractive divine chest, my bosoms are remaining in a useless manner and losing their youth. It is said in periya thirumadal “munnirundhu mUkkinRu” (Remaining in the front and becoming old). While being visible to the eyes, they are losing their youth, as we see them.

kUththan … – As said in periya thirumozhi 9.5.8 “kOvalar kUththan” (krishNa who has attracted the cowherd boys with his divine actions). Please carry me and place me in the dear abode of bhagavAn who has gone beyond the state of thiruvAimozhi 5.6.6 “inavAyar thalaivan” (leader among the cowherd boys who have similar qualities) up to thiruvAimozhi 5.6.6 “inaththEvar thalaivan” (leader of nithysUris and mukthAthmAs). thirukkuRungudi where one who is winning over the nithyasUris by his attractive actions, is residing desirously.
