Just as tall, vast mountains shine, emperumAn is having thousand divine shoulders which are straight and having vast radiance, along with shining shoulder bracelet; how amazing is this unique person’s beauty!
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
vEy … – The controller who mercifully arrived and reclined in thirumeyyam which is surrounded by mountains which are having vast bamboo orchards.
ivvaiyam … – When we look at his nature, it could be said that he is the lord who effortlessly measured the entire earth.
thAmaraik kaNgaL irundhavARu – AzhwAr is saying that bhagavAn is remaining as puNdarIkAksha (lotus-eyed).
vEy … – emperumAn is having thousand divine shoulders which are straight and having great radiance like that of tall, vast, shining mountains, and in each of the shoulder, he is wearing the shoulder bracelet. While in the previous pAsuram, AzhwAr said that emperumAn is having four shoulders, why is he now saying that emperumAn is having thousand shoulders? That is to show that bhagavAn remains in the manner that one will need many sensory organs to enjoy the thousand shoulders.
achchO oruvar azhagiyavA – Does he even need any decoration? Is his beautiful form not enough?
In the next article we will enjoy the next pAsuram.
