Simple translation

For our girl, what else other than krishNa’s mischiefs is present? Her bangles are not remaining on her hand even for a moment. Will krishNa, the child who consumed pUthanA’s life feel sad for our girl’s [my] life? She is not having a companion, while the blemishless, moon’s rays are burning her. Her bosoms, which are remaining together, are being burnt; alas! Her heart is being destroyed for krishNa’s flute. Those who would say “Don’t fear” are not there.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

Ayan … – When krishNa went away he said “I will not separate from you; even if I did, I will not survive” and left. Unlike that these bangles quickly slipped out. This is as said in SrIvishNu purANam 5.18.29 “SaithilyamupayAnthyASu karEshu valayAnyapi” (When krishNa left us, our bangles also slipped away). ASu Saithilyam upayAnthi – I observed that they immediately slipped away. Hope it is not the time when those, who are in our hands [reach], leave us!

iRai nillA – They won’t stay even for a moment. After he left, they did not stay even for one moment.

pEy … – Will the one, who planned to get caught by pUthanA and thus torment us, show his mercy now? From the beginning, he set out to torment the women.

thUya mA madhik kadhir suda – As the blemishless moon’s rays blow fire and burn.

thuNai illai iNai mulai vEginRadhAl – There was no one who could extinguish the fire. It burnt as it saw/desired.

Ayan … – The cowherd boy’s flute appeared to destroy the heart which was saying “He is still not coming, even at this stage of suffering”. She will not be immersed in the flute played by brAhmaNas.

anjal enbArillaiyE – No one who can say as in SrI bhagavath gIthA 18.66 “mA Sucha:” (Don’t grieve), is present.
