Simple translation
thiruvazhundhUr is the abode which has very beautiful streets where fish etc are living in a dense manner, in the ancient pond where striped beetles are humming, and swan being together with its spouse, is dancing. Yesterday, he mercifully came here, where I am present, abducted the knowledge acquired by me through my five senses and my beauty, and made my desirable, beautiful clothes to loosen and slip away from me, and left me. Such pure bhagavAn’s eternal abode of thiruvazhundhUr is eternally desirable as in the case of paramapadham.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
en aimbulanum … – Abducting the greatness I acquired through my senses such as ear etc and my collective beauty, without my realisation, he mercifully arrived here and made my clothes loosen and slip away from my waist. He is such a pure person. Having abducted everything from me, he is having the purity of not losing any of his aspects. [AzhwAr is being sarcastic that while AzhwAr is suffering, bhagavAn remains normal as he is detached from everything]. The abode of such bhagavAn.
mannu mudhu nIr … – The aquatic beings are remaining densely there.
mudhu nIr … – On the lotus flowers which are present in the ancient ponds with the aged water, swarms of beetles, which are having desirable complexion, drank the honey and hummed as an outlet for their joy. Matching that song, the swan is dancing along with its spouse.
