Simple Translation

emperumAn is reclining on thiruppARkadal which is throwing out waves due to its happiness of being constantly touched by emperumAn. He is donning a divine thuLasi garland which is probed by beetles [for drinking honey]. He has a divine, broad chest which is like a mountain. He has eyes similar to a red lotus. His followers, due to affection which they have for SrI ranganAthan, being unable to remain in one place, becoming delirious, are roaming around, singing and dancing. My mind will have affection for the wealth of kainkaryam which such SrI vaishNavas have.

vyAkyAnam

mAlaiyuRRa kadal kidandhavan – emperumAn is reclining on thiruppARkadal, which is throwing out waves due to the bliss of being constantly touched by that emperumAn.

vaNdu kiNdu naRum thuzhAy mAlai uRRa varai perum thirumArvanai – He has a broad, divine chest which is decorated by a thuLasi garland, which has just then blossomed; beetles are humming around that garland, probing [for honey]. Was it not said mercifully in mUnRAm thiruvandhAdhi 56 “maipOl neduvarai thAzhum aruvipOl thAr kidappa” (the garland was like a river flowing on his wide chest which was looking like a dark, huge mountain)!

malarkkaNNanai – one who has divine eyes which look like a just-blossomed lotus.

mAlaiyuRRezhundhu AdippAdith thirindhu – (his followers) owing to the deep affection that they have towards emperumAn, will roam around everywhere, being unable to remain in one place, dancing and singing.

arangan emmAnukkE mAlaiyuRRidum thoNdar vAzhvukku – manifesting his simplicity towards everyone, periya perumAL made me his servitor. Due to the affection that they have for that emperumAn, his followers become delirious and roam around. For the wealth of their service to emperumAn. The opinion here is that being a SrI vaishNava is in itself a great wealth.

mAlai uRRadhu en nenjamE – my heart became affectionate.

We will take up the 9th pAsuram of this decad, next.
