parakAla nAyaki tells her divine mother “Even if you say ‘You should not have this much of love. Whatever you may do, you have to follow our good instructions’, the beauty of his ornaments, is standing in front of my eyes. Should I listen to your words, or should I be engaged in his physical beauty which is made visible to me?”

Simple translation

My daughter parakAla nAyaki is saying “Divine thuLasi garland is appearing on his divine crown, which is decorated densely with the shining, best, precious gemstones; the divine makara kuNdalams (earrings), embossed with precious gemstones are emanating the radiance; the golden necklace, which has the best precious gemstones embossed in it, is shining in the divine chest which is like an ornament for ornaments”. Did she see to the satisfaction of her eyes and worship the lord, SaurirAjan who is mercifully present in thirukkaNNapuram where the surrounding areas are surrounded by the imperishable divine fort which is having greatness of being indestructible by anyone?

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

thunnu – parakAla nAyaki says “While the divine thuLasi which is worn on the divine crown, which is decorated densely with priceless precious stones, is seen, will I hear your words?” The divine crown and the divine thuLasi which is placed on the divine crown, reveal his lordship. Just as the enemies’ necks were only visible to arjuna, only the divine thuLasi garland is visible for her.

minnum … – She says “The divine earrings pulled her heart from the divine garland. The earrings’ radiance was appearing to be a lamp which shows the beauty acquired by him from these aspects. The divine earrings which are embossed with shining, priceless precious stones, made the other radiance to subside and the radiance of the earrings spread over all of his divine form”.

ponnin … – She says “The golden necklace, which is embossed with precious stones, is shining in his divine chest which appears like an ornament to that ornament”.

aNi Agaththu ilangum – It is shining in the divine heart where pirAtti is mercifully present. The divine chest for which, the ornament is extraneous. She is saying “In the divine chest which is like an ornament for the ornament and should be checked for dhrushti (evil eyes) by performing Alaththi (a ritual involving lit camphor), the divine ornaments and SrI kausthubha jewel are shining”.

kanni … – It looks like that the one entity, who is well protected, is known exclusively by her. It looks like that she has seen the bhagavAn, who is mercifully residing in thirukkaNNapuram, which is surrounded by the fort which can protect according to the greatness of the one who is inside and which cannot be destroyed by anyone.
