Simple Translation
yaSOdhAp pirAtti wanted to lengthen the naturally long ears of krishNa by applying crocodile-shaped ear-rings. With the eminent words of that yaSOdhAp pirAtti shining in his divine mind forever, periyAzhwAr, who is the controller of SrI villibuththUr, and who has natural fame throughout earth, composed twelve pAsurams with the divine names of emperumAn, starting with kESava, which could not be enjoyed to completion. Those who are capable of reciting these twelve pAsurams will become the esoteric servitors of emperumAn, who doesn’t let slip his followers.
vyAkhyAnam (Commentary)
vAr … – krishNa’s ears were, by themselves, long. yaSOdhAp pirAtti desired to lengthen them further, by applying crocodile shaped ornaments on his ears, properly.
seerAl … – the words mentioned by yaSOdhAp pirAtti about SrIya:pathi [divine consort of SrI mahAlakshmi], without any shortcoming to his eminence.
thiruvAimozhip piLLai says, in his svApadhESam, that these words were spoken by yaSOdhAp pirAtti without any shortcoming in the eminence and without krishNa getting angry.
sindhaiyuL ninRu thigazha – to shine forever in AzhwAr’s divine mind.
thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that it is only in AzhwAr’s divine mind that yaSOdhAp pirAtti’s words will remain forever, shining. For yaSOdhAp pirAtti, the attention will be equally divided between krishNa and her regular chores while for AzhwAr, being focussed only on krishNa is his pastime.
pAr Ar … – periyAzhwAr, who is the controller of SrI villibuththUr and who had ancient fame such that he would remain completely, in the minds of all those who are on earth
pannirunAmam … – Those who are capable of reciting these twelve pAsurams with the pathos of AzhwAr, which are enjoyable without any limit, mercifully composed with the twelve divine names of emperumAn, which are the symbols of SrI vaishNavam, and which could never be enjoyed fully by the followers of emperumAn, to their complete satisfaction.
thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that even if followers were to enjoy these twelve pAsurams until the entity called as time remains, they will not get satisfied. This is just like emperumAn himself who is ArAvamudhan, the nectar who could never be enjoyed completely to one’s satisfaction.
achchudhanukku adiyArE – for the one who doesn’t ever let slip his followers, they will become servitors forever.
thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that the term achchudhan refers to emperumAn who does not slip from any of his distinguishing features.
We shall next consider the pravESam of next thirumozhi.
