Simple translation

Oh, one who is the embodiment of wealth for periya pirAttiyAr, who is the cause for wealth (for everyone)! Oh, the lord of nithyasUris! Oh, one who is having reddish, beautiful eyes! Oh, one who is having very radiant and beautiful thiruvAzhi (divine sudharSana chakra) in hand! Oh, one who is unique in swallowing all the worlds! Oh, one who is having periya pirAttiyAr in your divine chest! Oh, lord who is mercifully residing in the western side of thiruvazhundhUr! When I thought about satisfying the desire of one sense organ and be freed, all the five sense organs remained close with me, entered me and remained without leaving, tormented and closed in on me. As that was happening, I became frightened and surrendered unto you.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

thiruvukkum thiruvAgiya selvA – Oh, one who is the embodiment of wealth for periya pirAttiyAr who is the cause for wealth for everyone other than her!

dheyvaththukku arasE … – Oh, one who is the lord of nithyasUris as said in thiruvAimozhi 1.1.1 “ayarvaRum amarargaL adhipathi“! Oh, sarvESvara, who is having lotus-eyes! Oh, sarvESvara who is having very radiant and beautiful thiruvAzhi (divine sudharSana chakra) in hand as a tool to eliminate the enemies! These are identities of supremacy – being laksmIpathi, lord of nithyasUris and being able to wield the thiruvAzhi.

ulaguNda oruvA – One remained as thaLarndhAr thAvaLam (refuge for the suffering persons) without discriminating between good and bad qualities of everyone.

thirumArvA – Oh, one who is having periya pirAttiyAr, who makes you “thaLarndhAr thAvaLam”, in your chest!

oruvaRku … – I have ceased to be a servitor of one master. I am not able to just dance according to one master’s orders and be freed.

udaninRu … – The harming entities are standing closer to me than you who are the protector, and are tormenting me. As said in thiruvAimozhi 7.1.1uNNilAviya” (remaining inside me), instead of just one or two, my five sense organs are tormenting me assuming the form of a sentient being, by being close to me and are not backing out from such torment.

aruvith thinRida … – Each of them is individually asking me “Feed me, Feed me” tormenting me and closing in on me. Being scared of them, I surrendered unto the divine feet of you, who are the lord of all.

azhundhUr mEl thisai ninRa ammAnE – Should you, who have ventured out to protect us, not do it completely?
