Simple translation

bhagavAn is having divine chest where periya pirAttiyAr is eternally residing. He is having the directions, earth, water, fire, air and ether as his body and is the cause for them. In this manner, he has the five elements as his body and is mercifully present. He is being formless as the antharAthmA for air which has the quality of sound (due to mixing of the five elements). He is remaining firm in the beautiful thiruvazhundhUr. He is like a well-rooted kalpa tree. I got to see him and became joyful.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

thiruvAzh mArvan … – bhagavAn is having divine chest where pirAtti who is the cause for the wealth of everyone else other than her, is eagerly present saying as in thiruvAimozhi 6.10.10agalagillEn” (I will never leave). It is said in SrIrangarAja sthavam pUrva Sathakam 7 “ISESithavya vaishamya nimnOnnathamidham jagath | namaS SrIranga nAyakyai yadhbrUvibhrama bhEdhatha: ||” (I worship SrIranga nAyaki whose eyebrow position determines the superiority or inferiority of a person in this world). thisai – directions.

maN nir … – Being the controller of the five elements which are cause and is having them as subservient as his body.

oli sErum mArudhaththai – Having air which has its own nature which is the sensation of touch and the nature of AkASam which is sound, as his prakAram (attribute).

In this manner, he creates the dhEva (celestial), manushya (human), thiryak (animal) and sthAvara (immovable) entities and then enters in them through an AthmA as said in thatiththirIya upanishath “thadhanupraviSya” (entered in that). Then, he remains as the cause for them in a way that the words which indicate them will point to him ultimately. He is eternally residing in thiruvazhundhUr.

karuvAr kaRpagaththai – kalpaka tree which has strong roots. Unlike in svargam where kalpaka tree can stand without support, here bhagavAn is like kalpaka tree which stands well-rooted on the earth. Seeing such bhagavAn, all my desires were fulfilled and I became joyful.
