Simple translation
bhagavAn wielded the weapon named axe, which has the nature of annihilating others, to kill those who were famously known as kings. He is paramapadha nAthan who does not have changes such as old-age etc. He is having the complexion of ocean which has abundance of water. He is the controller of nithyasUris, who is remaining firmly in thiruvazhundhUr showing his mercy towards those who are exclusive servitors saying “alas! alas!”. I worshipped him with my eyes and became joyful, without any bewilderment.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
kOvAnAr madiya – Those who are the controllers of different places, and being named as kshathriya – to have them killed.
kolaiyAr mazhukkoNdaruLum … – Having a form which remains the same forever and wielding the axe which remains in tact without needing to be changed even after killing twenty one generations of [evil] kshathriyas.
muzhu nIr vaNNanai – One who is having the complexion of the ocean which is a water body.
adiyArkku A A enRu irangi – Showing his mercy with compassion towards his exclusive servitors, he has arrived and is standing in thiruvazhundhUr.
dhEvAdhi dhEvanai … – With my eyes, I got to see the lord of nithyasUris as said in thiruvAimozhi 1.1.1 “ayarvaRum amarargaL adhipathi“, had all my agitation eliminated and became joyful.
