Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

gadhiyEl illai … – When it comes to the means, I have nothing other than your mercy. gathi – refuge. When it comes to the goal, I have nothing other than your divine feet. I am refugeless.

nidhiyE – Oh, one who is a treasure!

thiruneermalai … – Oh, one who has arrived in thiruneermalai and is remaining there to be embraced just as one will wear a pearl garland, to cool down the body!

padhiyE – Oh, one who is the abode of the devotees!

paravith thozhum … – Oh, one who is the goal of SrIvaishNavas who praise you incoherently and surrender unto you!

Alternatively,

padhiyE paravith thozhum thoNdar … – Oh one who is the goal for those who are sagOthri (having same gOthram) with me [i.e. AzhwArs] and go around dhivyadhESams enjoying you as said in thirunedunthANdakam 6 “thAnugandha Ur ellAm than thAL pAdi” (Glorifying bhagavAn’s divine mercy at all the dhivyadhESams which are dear to him)!

unnaik kaNdu koNdu … – Since you have arrived and are present in ugandharuLina nilam (the divine abodes), I got to see you and became uplifted.
