Simple translation

krishNa gave permission and sent agni to consume the kANdava forest which is having well guarded, vast garden. He is eternally residing in thirumeyyam as the supreme lord. He brought the kalpaka tree which is having abundance of honey and planted at the residence of sathyabhAmA, in beautiful SrI dhvArakA. I searched and got to see him in thirunaRaiyUr.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

kattERu nIL sOlai – Due to being indhra’s well-guarded forest, it was well protected.

kANdavaththai thI mUtti vittAnai – When arjuna and krishNa were playing with a ball on the banks of river yamunA, agni (dhEvathA) came there in the guise of a brAhmaNa. krishNa ordered him saying “You consume indhra’s forest”.

mUtti vittAnai – Set him on the evil beasts. Since agni would fear to enter, here AzhwAr is saying how difficult it is for krishNa to convince him to go in.

meyyam amarndha perumAnai – One who is mercifully residing in thirumeyyam thinking “What if more people come and request like that?”

mattERu … – kalpaka tree which has abundance of fragrance.

mAdharkkAy – He completely manifested thAdharthyam (existing for someone) towards SrI sathyabhAmAp pirAtti.

vaN thuvarai nattAnai … – As enmity grows between indhra and narakAsura, krishNa went to fight for the sake of indhra against narakAsura, killed narakAsura and returned to svargam and helped indhra et al settle down there. At that time, kalpaka flowers arrived for indhrANi and as SrI sathyabhAmAp pirAtti asked some flower for her, indhrANi said “This is not applicable for you (humans); you sweat [celestials don’t sweat]; need the support of the earth to stand [celestials don’t need the earth to stand]” and wore it highlighting her celestial nature and SrI sathyabhAmAp pirAtti’s human nature. SrI sathyabhAmAp pirAtti, held on to krishNa’s shoulder and told “This kalpaka tree is to be planted in my backyard”. He then uprooted one such tree and planted it in SrI dhvArakA and then only he took bath (i.e., he looked into his next task). piLLai amudhanAr would say “indhra was comfortably settled in his abode by krishNa even before [krishNa] returned to SrI dhvArak; when krishNa plucked a waste tree – seeing that indhra went after krishNa with his vajrAyudham – what a shame!”. I got to see the lord who has arrived in thirunaRaiyUr to fulfil my desire.
