vyAkhyAnam (Commentary)
en siRukkuttan – my little child
enakkOr innamudhu – through his age and his activities, he is a unique, sweet nectar. thiruvAimozhip piLLai says, in his svApadhESam, that this differentiates from the other nectar [which was distributed among the celestial entities for immortality]
empirAn – he is my benefactor, having been born as my son and through making me enjoy his divine activities. thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that he is my benefactor since he incarnated as my son, removing my barrenness.
than … – he is calling you repeatedly, with the little hands, which are apt for his age.
anjanam … – if you wish to play with him, who is having the divine complexion of darkness like a dark pigment, which is invigorating to his beholders…
manjil … – do not hide yourself behind clouds. Oh, chandhra, who is famous for your form and coolness! Come fast, with joy, displaying your affection, saying “It is my fortune that I have been invited”. thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that in the previous pAsuram, AzhwAr had referred to chandhran as iLa madhi; here, he is referring to him as mAmadhi, manifesting the growth in his form over time. AzhwAr tells chandhran to come running joyously, just as one goes with joy in desirous matters.
We shall next consider the 3rd pAsuram of this thirumozhi.
