Simple translation
Oh those who are desiring to be under the divine feet of narasimha bhagavAn with his greenish eyes, who looked at hiraNyAsura to cause fear in him and who grabbed and pulled hiraNya whose shoulders had become huge by the strength of the boons, and made beautiful blood from hiraNya’s body flow out like a flood, using his radiant nails in his beautiful hands! Reach the dhivyadhESam named thirunaRaiyUr where the chOzha king, named sembiyan, who is having reddish eyes, is residing and who conducts the horses with cruel walk to destroy the strength of the strong kings, who pushed the elephants which are having reddish eyes, and came fighting.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
paingaN … – Being narasimha and having greenish eyes matching the nature of the lion species, bhagavAn stared at hiraNya to cause fear for him; without hesitating, he went close to hiraNya who was having strong shoulders due to the strength of his boons, and pulled him, grabbing his body.
am kai … – With a minute portion of the naturally beautiful, radiant divine nails, he caused a flood of blood in hiraNya’s body. Oh those who desire to attain the divine feet of such lord!
vem kaN … – Pushing the elephant having cruel eyes, sembiyan, the chOzha king, conducted the horses to destroy the strength of the kings who came and opposed in the battle. For AzhwAr, bhagavAn eliminating the enemies of the devotees and the chOzha king fighting the battles, are both enjoyable [due to the connection with thirunaRaiyUr].
