Simple translation

mundhu nUl … – To make krishNa familiar with the subject, first sAndhIpani gave the alphabets of vEdham, which is apaurushEyam and then gave upanayana samskAram etc which give qualification to learn vEdham. andhaNALan – sAndhIpani. As his son was swallowed by the ocean, krishNa retrieved him. The abode of such krishNa. The abode of the one who would fix the losses of those who lost anything.

pondhil vAzhum … – For their little ones which are living in the tree holes, the birds will go to distant places and gather the shells thinking that they will feed the apt ones for their little ones. nandhu – naththai – snail.
