Simple translation
The causal ocean which is filled with boats rose to reach the top of the wall of the oval shaped universe; even in that great water, those servitors who hold the orders of sarvESvaran on their heads, will not have their bodies destroyed. Oh heart! Our lord is eternally residing in the dhivyadhESam having the divine name, nandhipura viNNagaram, where the rising water is pushing the precious gems which eliminate the darkness which occurs in the night and radiance is spread out everywhere. Oh heart! If you know this, try to reach there.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
vangam … – The ocean which is filled with boats, just as those who are [appointed as] the protectors of the town will engage in stealing [from the residents of the town], though placed as the protective layer around the earth, when it became filled with abundant water, would reach the top of the wall of the oval shaped universe as if pushing it. In that deluge, those servitors [of emperumAn] who hold his orders on their heads will not experience the results of the karma which lead to suffering due to the dangers of deluge. This is as said in SrI bhagavath gIthA 14.2 “… sargE’pi nOpajAyanthE praLayE na vyathanthi cha” (Those who attain this knowledge (which is to be explained), will have attained equality with me, and are neither created here nor destroyed).
aRidhiyEl – If it is understood in the mind.
pongu … – The precious gems pushed out by the overflowing water will drive out the darkness which is created in the night and that radiance is spread out everywhere.
nangaL perumAn uRaiyum – His para state (in paramapadham) is for nithyasUris; his vyUha state (in kshIrAbdhi) is to eliminate the insults experienced by brahmA, rudhra et al; vibhava avathArams are for the very fortunate ones like SrI vasudhEvar, [dhaSaratha] chakravarthi et al; ugandharuLina nilangaL (dhivyadhESams which are mercifully occupied by bhagavAn with eagerness) is for those who are like us, who are in later times. Even nithyasUris, when they come here, should come with some shortcomings. To the choultry, which is kept for blind people, people with proper vision should come there covering their eyes.
