Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

mULa … – The asuras (monsters) spread the fire to make the place be covered with smoke and came thinking “We will fight”; bhagavAn severed their shoulders, feet and heads within a moment by launching his weapons. In this manner, if there are further battles, he is having the five weapons 1) sword which helps in the battle 2) beautiful bow 3) divine chakra which is having curved mouths 4) mace and 5) the divine conch, in his divine hands. Unlike incarnations, where it is said “He is no more present here” (after ascending to paramapadham), he is eternally present in nandhipura viNNagaram.
